Short Story 

The main character is Louise Wimmer who is a woman outside society: aged 50, she works as a hotel cleaner, lives in her car and seems to have no relationships outside her occasional anonymous sex sessions with a man in a hotel room. This gripping first feature from Cyril Mennegun has an acute eye for realist observation, revealing the director’s documentary roots: Louise Wimmer shows a woman living in suspended animation, waiting for a better life while evading the existence she knew before. It’s an existential drama, but with a concrete core, as it chronicles Louise’s routine workplace humiliations, the difficulties of depending on a run-down car for existence, the daily challenge of keeping clean and retaining dignity.
